Summer Holiday Club

Netball
This week, our netball team played their first fixture of the Summer league away against Egerton Primary. It was a tough game on their first day back in, but the team worked so hard and stayed positive throughout. After fighting back from being 3-0 down to being 5-3 in front, Egerton just made their way back in to the game right at the death, so the match ended 5-5. It was very exciting and very competitive! We were all very proud of how respectful the team were of each other, the opposition and the referee. This is always the case with our fantastic Bexton children. A huge thank you to the parents for sorting transport and for coming to support us.
Year 5 visit to Piccolino's
A great time was had by all!
The chef and manager were very welcoming and explained to the children the different ingredients used in Italy to make delicious pasta and pizza meals. The children were encouraged to feel and smell the raw ingredients before being asked to make a new meal from the ingredients and work as a team. Some groups were very democratic and voted for the the type of pasta, vegetables and topping they wanted to include. The chef and manager then looked at each tables' entry and chose a meal to make for all to taste! The winning entry was a vegetarian meal including spaghetti, tomatoes and peppers. The children were then lucky enough to try a slice of pizza too!
