Open Afrernoon
We had two incredibly successful Open Afternoons for prospective Reception parents on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Both events were exceptionally well attended, and the feedback from visiting families was wonderful! Many parents commented on the warm, welcoming atmosphere around school and the fantastic behaviour of our children.
A huge thank you must go to our wonderful Year 6 ambassadors, who did a brilliant job of showing families around and giving them a real insight into what life at Bexton is like. I am always so proud of how confidently and enthusiastically our children talk about their time at Bexton, sharing the many activities, opportunities and experiences they have enjoyed over the years. There really is no better advertisement for our school than the children themselves!
If you know of any families who haven't yet had the opportunity to visit Bexton and have a child due to start Reception in September 2027, please do encourage them to get in touch. We would be delighted to arrange a tour and show them what makes Bexton such a special place to learn and grow.
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Hello Yellow day in aid of YoungMinds. We have raised an amazing £237.00 so far! Donations are still welcome if you would like to contribute.

School Lunch Account Reminder
We kindly ask all parents and carers to check their child's lunch account and clear any outstanding balances by Friday 30th October. Payments can be made quickly and easily via SCOPAY. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Vacancy
The school is currently seeking to recruit a SEND support teaching assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support, alongside general duties for 27.5 hours per week. The role will initially be based in our Reception class, although there may be opportunities to work across other year groups within the school in the future, depending on the needs of the school. You will also be contracted to do 5 hours per week as a Midday Assistant which will be paid at Grade 3.

Year D&T Day
In Year 1 we have been making fruit smoothies this week. We have learnt all about fruit and vegetables as well as how to juice and carefully cut fruit using a knife and fork. The children all enjoyed tasting their smoothie...some even wanting more!
Eco News
Enjoy a walk and take in the beautiful autumn colours as the trees and shrubs change with the season. If you feel inspired, collect some fallen leaves and try out a few of the creative activities in this LINK. Favourites include leaf printing, autumn wreaths and leaf animal pictures!
