Mrs. Allen
A huge congratulations to Mrs. Allen, who has recently been promoted to Assistant Head of the Adventure and Wellbeing School in Northwich! We are incredibly proud of her and know she will do a wonderful job in her new role - even though we are very sad to be saying goodbye after 13 years of her hard work, dedication and commitment to Bexton.
Mrs. Allen will be leaving us at Christmas and we are delighted to announce that Mrs. Yardley-Goldrick has been appointed to take her place following interviews this week. Mrs. Yardley-Goldrick is very excited to be joining the Bexton team and will begin the transition process over the next few weeks, ready to hit the ground running in January.
I’m sure you will all join me in thanking Mrs. Allen for everything she has given to the school and in wishing her the very best of luck in this exciting new chapter. She will be greatly missed!

Team Talk- The Community Trail

This week our Team Talk turned to the Community Trail. Children explored the groups they belong to - from their class and school to their town and the wider world - and thought about how they can make a positive difference. From tidying the classroom to helping the environment, everyone came up with brilliant ideas for caring for their communities.
💡 At home, you might like to talk about one small way your family could help the community together.
FOBS Events This Year
After a very successful FOBS meeting on Monday evening (thank you to everyone who came along and supported - it was a fantastic turnout!), we are excited to share our plans for the year ahead. To make organising fundraisers more manageable, we’ve divided events between the different year groups. With at least 60 families in each year group, the idea is that fundraising won’t feel like too much of a commitment if we all share the load.
All event dates are always included in the weekly bulletin, but here’s an overview so you can pop them into your diary. Please also keep an eye out for messages from your year group representative during the year, asking for help with your allocated event.
Upcoming Events:
Autumn Disco – 17th October 2025 (Year 4 parents to coordinate)
Cocktails & Canvas (Adults only) – 21st November 2025 (Year 1 parents to coordinate)
Christmas Lights Extravaganza – 3rd December 2025 (all year groups will be allocated a stall)
Cinema Night – 23rd January 2026 (Year 6 parents to coordinate)
Red Envelope Week – Week commencing 9th February 2026 (Year 3 parents to coordinate)
Family Bingo Night – 13th March 2026 (Nursery parents to coordinate)
Colour Run – 17th April 2026 (Year 4 parents to coordinate)
Sports Day Refreshments – 19th June 2026 (Year R and Year 5 parents to coordinate)
Summer Disco – 10th July 2026 (Year 2 parents to coordinate)
Thank you in advance for your continued support. All funds raised this year will go towards the much-needed replacement of our beloved astro-turf. We’re hopeful that, with everyone’s help, we will raise enough to complete the work this summer. Every bit of support makes a difference - so please get involved where you can!

Be Bright, Be Seen!
As the days get shorter and the mornings and afternoons become darker, we want to remind everyone to please stay safe on their journeys to and from school. If your child cycles to school, please make sure their bike has working front and rear lights and ideally that they wear something bright or reflective to help them stay visible to drivers and pedestrians.
And of course, helmets are a must – they’re the best way to keep your child safe while riding.
Adult Netball Club
All parents, staff and friends of Bexton are invited to join our social netball group on Tuesday evenings 8-9pm in the Sports Hall at Knutsford Leisure Centre (school term time only). Everyone is welcome - even if you've never played netball or haven't done any sport for years. It's great exercise, fun and social. £5 “pay as you play” (so no commitment) to cover the court hire and extra money raised goes to Bexton School fundraising. Come and try it! Contact Anne Hughes on 07776304942.
Clubs Update
Please note that Digital Wizards and Music Club have now finished for this half term. All other extra-curricular clubs will continue to run as normal next week. The new club timetable for Autumn 2 will be emailed on Monday 3rd November and bookings will open for Scopay clubs on Wednesday 5th November at 12pm. Please note that Autumn 2 extra curricular clubs will begin after half term, week commencing Monday 10th November.
Visit of Author Clare Harlow
This week the children have participated in a fantastic writing assembly with author Clare Harlow. They took part in an interactive session where they were able to create elements of their own stories, including magical powers and explore ways to develop their ideas further. Clare also shared with the children how she first got into writing stories, which really inspired them!

Book Fair
We are thrilled to announce that the book fair will be returning during the first week back after half term! It is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore a wonderful selection of books and discover new favourites. Pop by at the end of the school day to pick up something special.

Eco News
Take a walk and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours as the trees and shrubs change with the season. If you feel inspired , collect some fallen leaves and try one or more of the creative activities suggested in the link. My favourites are leaf rubbing with wax crayons, giant leaf letters and leaf animal pictures!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, thank you, for your beautiful book!
