Sports Week

We are excited for our upcoming Sports Week, taking place next week from 15th-19th June. It promises to be a fantastic week packed with inspiring visitors, exciting activities and opportunities for every child to get active, culminating in our annual Sports Day on Friday 19th June.

Please find the attached letter with full details. We can't wait for the children to enjoy a week of sport, teamwork and fun!🏃🎉

Paint the Town Yellow

Children from Reception to Year 6 took part in a wonderful interactive assembly on Thursday with Peter Murray from Pulse of Perfumery in Knutsford, who is on a mission to "Paint Knutsford Yellow" on Thursday 18th June in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

As Knutsford is transformed with yellow decorations and balloons, we are inviting the children to wear something yellow next Thursday to help raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, a life-limiting genetic condition. Peter shared his personal story about his daughter, who sadly passed away from cystic fibrosis at the age of 18.

If you would like to support Peter's fundraising efforts, donations can be made via his JustGiving page: Peter Murray is fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Please bear in mind that it is also Sports Week, so any yellow item of clothing should be comfortable enough for the children to participate fully in their sporting activities throughout the day.

Summer Holiday Club

We are delighted that the wonderful Kirsty Ruff will once again be running our Summer Holiday Club throughout the summer holidays (excluding the final week). If you are looking for childcare over the summer break, this is always a fantastic option and hugely popular with the children.

Miss. Ruff has already started planning a range of exciting activities and adventures, and with the school grounds all to themselves, the children are guaranteed to have a brilliant time!

If you think you may require a place, we would be very grateful if you could book as far in advance as possible. Early bookings help us to plan staffing levels effectively and ensure that we can accommodate as many children as possible.

Please see the poster below for further information and booking details.

The Rainbow Room School Trip to the Runway Visitor Park

The Rainbow Room enjoyed a fantastic school trip to the Runway Visitor Park. We had a wonderful day exploring and learning about aeroplanes.

While enjoying our picnic, we watched aeroplanes land and take off. We also had lots of fun playing in the playground.

During our visit, we took part in a guided tour, where we saw the famous Concorde, explored the inside of an aeroplane, sat in the cockpit and enjoyed dressing up as pilots and cabin crew.

It was an exciting and memorable day for everyone!

OPAL

If your child has brought home a plant from Opal this week, it is a globe onion. These onions grow very large and it will be fun if you would share pictures of their progress with us. It will need to be put outside in a sunny spot and watered regularly throughout the summer. It will probably need to be repotted or planted in the garden if it gets too big! Enjoy eating the end result. Happy growing. Opal team.
