We’re really looking forward to catching up with you all next week!
Team Talk - Belonging
This fortnight, in our Team Talk we explored the idea of 'belonging'. Children thought about what it means to feel safe, happy and part of something special: whether that’s their class, their Team, our school or the wider Bexton community.
Pupils shared moments when they feel they truly belong and discussed how this helps them feel confident, enjoy learning and build friendships. They also reflected on how each of us can help others feel welcome, included and valued every day, remembering that our differences make our community stronger.
Across the school there were some thoughtful conversations about kindness, inclusion and the small actions that can help everyone feel part of our community.
💡 At home, you might like to talk together about a place or group where you feel you really belong and what people do there that helps everyone feel included.
FOBS Bingo Night Success!
What a fantastic evening we had last Friday, with the hall completely packed for a fun-filled family bingo night - hosted by Bexton’s very own “Bingo Starr”!
A huge thank you needs to go to Kate Babester, Kerry Landing and their wonderful team of volunteers who organised the evening. It was an incredible success - raising £2,051.00 for the FOBS AstroTurf fund. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.
Our next event is the sponsored colour run, scheduled for Friday 17th April - keep the date free in your diary!
Bexfest 2026
Following the incredible success of last year’s Bexfest, we have been reflecting carefully on both the joy it brought to our community and the challenges that came with its popularity. The event was a fantastic celebration, but due to licensing restrictions on numbers, we know that not all families who wanted to attend were able to do so. We fully understand how disappointing this was and we are very grateful for the honest and constructive feedback shared with us.
As a school, we are committed to making Bexfest as inclusive, fair and enjoyable as possible for our whole community. With that in mind, we would love to involve you directly in shaping how (or if) the event runs this year.
We have provisionally held a date of Friday 15th May for another evening of music, fairground rides, food and fun. However, before making any decisions, we are asking parents to vote on what they feel is the fairest and most appropriate way forward.
As always, tickets will first be offered to our volunteers, without whom events like this simply could not take place. However, we would like to hear how you think the remaining tickets should be allocated.
The options you will be able to vote on are:
• Remaining tickets allocated to families on a first come, first served basis
• Remaining tickets allocated to families via a random ballot system (names out of a hat)
• Priority given to families who were unable to attend last year
• An alternative non-licensed event (no alcohol, music or rides, as these require a temporary event licence with restricted numbers), allowing us to increase capacity and include more families
We recognise that with an event as popular as Bexfest, there is no perfect solution. However, by listening to your feedback and inviting you to take part in this decision, we hope to move forward in a way that reflects the needs and wishes of the majority of our families.
If the event does go ahead, we will use Eventbrite as our ticketing tool to help manage demand more effectively.
Please take a moment to complete the Microsoft Form linked below and cast your vote (by Friday 27th March please). Your input is incredibly important in helping us decide the best way forward.
Bexfest 2026 - Parent Vote – Fill out form
Once the results are in, we will share the outcome and next steps. If families are keen for Bexfest to go ahead, we will arrange a planning meeting but, as always, this will only be possible with the continued support and involvement of our amazing parent community.
Thank you, as always, for your support. We truly hope that together we can build on last year's success and create another memorable event for everyone to enjoy.
Get your Easter Humpties for Cheshire Hospice!
This year we are again selling Cadbury Creme Eggs dressed in gorgeous, knitted Humpty characters in order to raise essential funds for our local hospice. Volunteers have been working hard to knit the fluffy characters which we are sure the kids will love! East Cheshire Hospice relies on fundraising for c.80% of its daily running costs, so the sale of these eggs will go a long way to delivering valuable services to our community.
They are £2.50 each from the school office and all donations will go to East Cheshire Hospice.
Thank you very much!

Frogs and Pondlife Event - 21st March
Knutsford Town Council is launching its 2026 Year of Action for Frogs and Pondlife this Saturday, 21st March, from 2pm to 4pm on The Moor.
Following last year’s focus on pollinators, this new initiative encourages residents to create garden ponds to support local biodiversity and protect amphibians from habitat loss.
The launch event, timed to coincide with World Frog Day, offers families the chance to meet local ecologists and learn how to safely build a pond, regardless of garden size. For children, the afternoon includes face painting, crafts, and the distribution of "pond diaries" to help them track local wildlife throughout the year.
Attendees can also find out how to enter the upcoming children’s art competition and the Knutsford Ponds competition. Refreshments will be provided by the Knutsford Bake Club.
