Parents' Meeting Reminder - Bookings go live today

A quick reminder that bookings for our Parents' Meetings on Wednesday 14th October will open today (Friday 2nd October) at 4:00pm.

Parents and carers can choose either an online appointment via Microsoft Teams or a face-to-face meeting in school:

  • Online: 1:30–3:00pm and 3:30–4:20pm

  • Face-to-face: 4:40–6:50pm

Appointments can be booked through SCOPAY via the 'Parents' Evening' tab. You will see two options: Online or Face-to-Face. Appointments will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend booking as soon as the system opens.

The booking system will close at 9:00am on Friday 9th October.

If your child is on a SEND Support plan, you do not need to book an appointment. Your child's teacher will contact you separately to arrange a meeting.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 14th October!

First FOBS Meeting of the Year - Monday 12th October at 7:30pm

A reminder that our first FOBS (Friends Of Bexton School) meeting of the year will take place on Monday 12th October at 7:30pm in school.

The meeting is open to everyone and we would love parents and carers from all year groups to come along. It is a good opportunity to hear about plans for the year ahead, share ideas and see whether there are any events or activities you might be able to support.

Please don’t worry that coming along means committing lots of your time. We know how busy everyone is, but having a wider group of parents involved (whether regularly or just occasionally) makes a real difference in helping us continue to run community events and fundraising activities.

This year, we are also beginning an exciting new project to create an OPAL sensory garden on the site of the old portacabin, once it has been removed. We are hoping to organise a range of activities and events over the year to help raise funds towards developing this area of the school grounds

So, if you fancy getting involved, sharing an idea or simply coming along for a chat and finding out more, please join us.

We look forward to seeing you there 🙂

World Mental Health Day - Hello Yellow

On Friday 9th October, we will be celebrating World Mental Health Day.  As a school community, we will be raising money for Young Minds with a dress down day (with a hint of yellow). The children will take part in activities that encourage them to take care of their own mental well-being, while also raising awareness of the charity - showing children and young people they're not alone with their mental health. To donate, please click on this link.

🎨Come and see Bexton's artwork at Knutsford Library! 🖌

As part of Cheshire Academy Trust’s ‘Nature’s Treasures’ project, each class at Bexton has created artwork inspired by illustrations from the book. The children have explored willow sculpture, printing, mark making, collage and 3D work using natural materials.

We are so proud of their creativity and the vibrant artwork they have produced. #TheCommunityTrail

Gardening

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Wilson for giving up her time and sharing her gardening expertise with the children from the Rainbow Room. The children absolutely love getting outside, learning about gardening. We are hoping to make gardening a regular part of our week.

Eco News

Now is the perfect time to get planting! Autumn is the ideal season to plant spring-flowering bulbs such as daffodils, tulips, crocuses and snowdrops. Why not get the children involved? Planting bulbs together is a great way to enjoy some fresh air, learn about nature and look forward to a colourful display in the spring!

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday, thank you for your lovely books!
