Bexton is proud to be an Operation Encompass school, working in partnership with Cheshire Police as part of our commitment to keeping children safe, happy and well supported.

Operation Encompass enables specially trained members of our safeguarding team to be informed when a child may have experienced or been affected by a domestic incident at home. This means that, where appropriate, we can quietly put additional support around a child in school and ensure they have trusted adults available to them.

We also want families to know that our support is not just for children. If you are experiencing difficulties at home, are worried about domestic abuse or simply feel that you would benefit from talking confidentially to someone, our trained safeguarding staff are here to listen, support and help signpost you to appropriate services.

As we embrace the harvest season, it is a wonderful time to reflect on the abundance in our own lives and think about how we can support others in our community.

As part of our Community Trail of The Pathway, we are proud to once again partner with Hope Central Food Bank to collect non-perishable food items to support local families who may be experiencing food insecurity. The Community Trail encourages our children to think about their responsibilities, show kindness and make a positive difference to the people and places around them.

We would love for our Bexton families to get involved and contribute whatever they can. This year, the food bank has asked particularly for:

• Tinned custard

• Tinned soup

• Tinned fruit

• Tinned rice pudding

• Instant/pot noodles

• Tinned pasta

• Microwave rice

• Cereals

• Tinned vegetables

• Tinned meat

• Long-life milk

• Household products

Every donation, however big or small, can make a real difference to a family in our local community. It is also a lovely opportunity for our children to see the Community Trail in action and understand that small acts of kindness can have a big impact.

We are delighted that the wonderful Kirsty Ruff will once again be running our October Holiday Club. If you are looking for childcare during the half-term break, it is always a popular choice with the children.

Kirsty has already started planning a fantastic range of activities and adventures, so the children are sure to have a brilliant time!

If you think you may require a place, we would be grateful if you could book as far in advance as possible. Early bookings help us to plan staffing levels effectively and ensure we can accommodate as many children as possible.
