FOBS Curry Night Fundraisers
Over the past thirteen years, a dedicated group of dads have been meeting regularly as part of their very own “Curry Club”. Their mission? To catch up, enjoy a good curry together and make a donation to the school’s FOBS fund.
Each time they head out for a meal together, they kindly contribute to the fund and over the last 13 years these generous donations have added up to a truly impressive amount - more than £6,000 in total!
We are incredibly grateful to Nick Birch, who organises the curry nights and to all the dads who have generously contributed over the years - apologies if the curries may have had a slight impact on the waistline, we promise it was all for a very good cause!
We are very appreciative of the incredible support we receive from our parents in so many different ways. Long may it continue - thank you!
Mobile Phones
Please be reminded that children are not permitted to use mobile phones on the playground before or after school. We thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain this rule.
May Holiday Club
A Big Thank You!
This week, we were delighted to take delivery of a brand new JBL Boombox, kindly donated by Mr. Hillier from Total Digital Stores. It has caused great excitement across the school and the children have thoroughly enjoyed the improved sound during our lunchtime OPAL discos and will continue to support a wide range of activities and wider curriculum events throughout the year (including today's FOBS Colour Run!).
We are very grateful for the generous donation, which will be well used and greatly appreciated by all 🙂
ABM Relaunch
We were delighted to officially relaunch our school meals provision with ABM Catering on Wednesday and what a fantastic day it was!
To mark the occasion, ABM brought along a smoothie bike, giving pupils the chance to pedal their way to a delicious, healthy drink. It was a huge hit across the school, with children thoroughly enjoying the experience (and the smoothies tasted pretty great too!).
The dining hall was buzzing with a real sense of occasion as staff joined pupils for lunch, helping to create a warm, shared experience. It was wonderful to see so many children enjoying their meals.
Thank you to the ABM team for such a well-organised and enjoyable launch and to our pupils for embracing it with such enthusiasm!
Year 5 Egyptian Day
Year 5 had an amazing Ancient Egyptian Day packed with hands-on fun and creativity! From mummifying bananas and crafting papyrus to sculpting canopic jars from clay, every activity brought history to life. The children looked fantastic in their costumes too, what an amazing experience! ✨
