A Fond Farewell to Mrs. Malaspina
Today we say goodbye to a truly cherished member of our school community, Mrs. Malaspina, as she begins her well-deserved retirement. After over 25 years of dedicated service at Bexton, she has made the difficult decision to retire slightly earlier than planned following a recent illness.
Mrs. Malaspina has been a constant source of warmth, wisdom and care to generations of children, families and staff. Her commitment to the wellbeing and development of every child she has worked with has left a lasting impact on our school and her presence will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of working alongside her.
Although she is stepping back from her role, we’re delighted that she hopes to return for visits - Bexton will always be her home. The Year 5 children were able to say a special goodbye in their assembly today and we know the whole school joins in sending her our heartfelt thanks and very best wishes.
Enjoy every moment of your retirement, Mrs. Malaspina - you leave behind a wonderful legacy.
Summer Disco - Friday 11th July
Our final disco of the year is just around the corner and ‘DJ Armstrong and DJ Kilshaw’ are already lining up some brilliant tunes and fun games to celebrate!
Cost: £5
(includes a drink, snack and entertainment)
All proceeds will go towards the astro-turf refurbishment, so we’d love to see as many children there as possible!
Disco Times:
Nursery: 3:30pm – 4:15pm (Parents are asked to stay and support their children in the hall)
Infants (Reception – Year 2): 4:30pm – 5:15pm
Juniors (Year 3 – Year 6): 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Put the date in your diaries - we look forward to seeing you there!
Outstanding Payments
As we approach then end of the academic year, please ensure that your Scopay account is kept up to date with any outstanding payments. Thank you for your cooperation.
School Grounds
Please ensure that children are supervised at all times while on the school premises, including during drop-off and pick-up times. We kindly ask that children stay within designated areas and avoid spaces such as the wildflower garden, which contains prickly plants like stinging nettles. Thank you for your support.
Individual and Group Musical Lessons
If you are interested in your child learning a musical instrument from September, bookings are now open with Music for Life, who deliver individual and small group tuition at Bexton. To find out more and to book a new course of lessons, please visit www.musicforlife.org.uk/apply-now.

Knutsford Summer Tennis Camps

Year 4 Cheshire Show
We had a wonderful time last week at The Cheshire Show, the children loved seeing all the animals and had lots of fun learning about farming and the countryside.

Year 6 Change Grow Live Workshop
Recently, Year 6 had the exciting opportunity to learn about the effects of alcohol and drugs on the human body through an engaging visit from Change Grow Live. The children participated in a series of interactive activities including a game of hopscotch while wearing goggles that impaired their sight. Additionally, examining an unhealthy liver proved to be a real eye-opener, leaving the pupils with a deeper understanding of the importance of making informed choices regarding alcohol.

Year 2 Butterflies
Year 2 released their butterflies in the Bexton Garden this week! The children have enjoyed observing them from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally butterflies as part of their science lessons this half term 🦋

Eco News
Have you ever been lucky enough to spot bats in your garden at night? Their swift, graceful movements make them hard to see as night falls, but their aerial acrobatics are well worth watching. Click on the link to learn more about this species https://www.bats.org.uk
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday Jasmine and Florence, thank you, for your wonderful books!
