Pyjama and Bring Your Teddy to School Day! - Thursday 21st May
We are incredibly proud to share that each of our four Houses has now surpassed the truly remarkable total of 5,000 house points, an achievement that reflects consistent effort, teamwork and a brilliant attitude across the school.
As a reward, each House has earned a special celebration day of their choosing. Our School Ambassadors were given the important task of deciding what that reward should be, and after careful thought, they agreed on a firm favourite: a Pyjama and Bring Your Teddy to School Day!
Date: Thursday 21st May
Children are warmly invited to come to school in their pyjamas for the day and may also bring a teddy to join in the fun. Please do remind children not to bring anything sentimental or irreplaceable, as we wouldn't want any special teddies to be lost or damaged.
We’re looking forward to a lovely, well-deserved day of celebration for all!
Team Talk - Respect
This fortnight in our Team Talk we explored the importance of respect. Children thought about how respect is not just about being polite but about how we treat ourselves, others and the world around us through our words, actions and choices.
Across the school, pupils discussed what respectful behaviour looks like, sounds like and feels like. Younger children explored everyday actions, such as listening carefully, sharing and speaking kindly, while older pupils considered deeper questions, including whether we can disagree with someone and still show respect. These thoughtful conversations helped children understand that respect plays a key role in helping everyone feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
There was a strong focus on how communication links to respect — listening carefully and responding thoughtfully so that everyone feels heard and understood.
💡 At home, you might like to talk about a time when you disagreed with someone and how you showed respect in that moment.
Parent Voice - Behaviour and Attitudes
As we look ahead to the next academic year, we will be entering yet another Ofsted inspection window (how time flies!). With the updated Ofsted framework (2025) now firmly in place, we are therefore continuing to reflect carefully on all aspects of school life at Bexton.
As part of this, we are keen to gather parent views to help us evidence the key improvements we have made, as well as to celebrate the many strengths of our school. Your feedback forms an important part of our quality assurance process and helps us to build a well-rounded picture of our provision.
Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing a series of very short parent surveys, each focusing on a different area of the framework. These will only contain 3 - 4 quick questions and should take no more than 30 seconds to complete (we promise!), although there will always be the option to add further comments if you wish. These short surveys are designed specifically to support our own ongoing evaluation of the school, and will in time be followed by a wider Trust parent questionnaire.
This week, our focus is on Behaviour and Attitudes, and this survey includes four short questions. We would really value your feedback on:
Your child’s experience of behaviour in school
Our approaches to behaviour management
Whether your child feels safe in school
Your child’s overall attitude towards school
Please take a moment to complete the short survey via the link below.

We are always keen to understand what we are doing well, as well as any areas where we can continue to develop. Your views genuinely help shape our ongoing work and there is space within the survey if you would like to add any further comments alongside your responses.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Restless Development - School Triathlon
We’re excited to share that an amazing 87 pupils from Bexton have already signed up for the Schools Triathlon at Cheadle Hulme on Sunday 28th June 2026! It’s fantastic to see so much enthusiasm and we’d love even more children to get involved. We’ve had a few enquiries about late entries and the good news is there are still spaces available, so it’s not too late to join in. This is a brilliant opportunity to challenge yourself, have fun with friends and be part of a supportive team event. We don’t want anyone to miss out, so if your child is interested, now’s the perfect time to sign up and be part of the action!
Knutsford Primary School Ball
Raffle tickets for the Knutsford School Ball will be on sale next week at home time on the school playground. Be sure to grab yours for a chance to win some fantastic prizes while supporting the event!
May Day Competition
Music for Life
Music for Life are now taking bookings for September lessons, giving children the opportunity to learn a new instrument, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of music.
Eco News
Have you ever stopped to look closely at the trees around you? You might be surprised by how many different types you can spot right outside your window, in your garden, or on a walk nearby. We would love to see how many trees both children and adults can identify together! Why not make it a family challenge and see who can name the most? It’s a fun way to learn more about nature and enjoy some time outdoors.
Use the identification sheet below to help you recognise different trees and discover their names. Happy tree spotting!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, thank you for your lovely books!
