World Book Day
We are very excited to be celebrating World Book Day in school next week! 📚✨
Although the official World Book Day falls on Thursday, we will be celebrating together on Friday 6th March. Children are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a favourite book: we can’t wait to see all of the creativity and to share a day full of stories, reading and book-themed activities.
If your child has P.E. on this day, please make sure their costume is suitable for sports and physical activity, or that they have appropriate footwear and clothing available.
We’re really looking forward to a fantastic celebration of reading across the school! 📖🌟
Trust Parent Consultation - Proposed Trust Name Change
We have been asked by Cheshire Academies Trust to share an opportunity for parents and carers to contribute to a short survey about a potential change to the Trust’s name.
As the Trust has grown to include schools across Cheshire, the Wirral and Liverpool, they are considering whether the current name still reflects the wider family of schools it now serves. It is important to emphasise that this consultation relates only to the Trust name, there would be no changes to our school’s name, identity, uniform or ethos.
The survey invites ideas about a possible new Trust name, the values that should define the Trust and a short strapline.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey using the link included in the attached letter. The survey is open until Wednesday 18th March.
Thank you for your support.
Please see the attached letter for full details and the survey link.
FOBS Bingo Night
Tickets are now available on SCOPAY for Bexton’s Family Bingo night!
Children will be sent home with one bingo book for every ticket purchased. The bingo books will act as your tickets and need to be shown upon entry to claim your pizza token 🍕
If you require a vegan or gluten free pizza, please email admin@bexton.cheshire.sch.uk by Wednesday 11th March.
Raffle and bingo prizes needed! Please drop your donations off with the school office by Thursday 12th March. Thank you as always for your generosity.
Easter Holiday Club
Bookings are now open on Scopay for the Easter holiday club. Please note they will close on Friday 13th March.
Lunch Menu Amended Dates
Please note there has been a change to the school menu this week, apologies for any confusion. Next week will be Week 2 on the menu, please find attached the amended menu dates for the remainder of this half term.
Book Fair
The book fair returns next week on Thursday 5th March for one week. Children will be able to explore a lovely selection of books and find new favourites. The fair will be open at the end of the school day, do pop in and take a look.
Extra-Curricular Clubs
Music Club will be running again this half term and there are still places available. Children will use iPads to create their own songs, experiment with sounds and beats and record their music like real music producers! This is a fun way to build confidence, creativity, while exploring music technology. To book your child a place, please go to your Scopay account. 🎶🎧🎤
Please note, there are also still places available for Sports Coaching, click on the attached for more information.
Eco News
Spring flowers are bursting on to the scene including snowdrops, crocus and daffodils. Still showing beautiful blooms are hellebores that have survived the winter. They come in various colours including white, cream, green and purple. Can you spot any near you? They are easy to grow as they are perennials plus they add a splash of colour to the bleakness of winter.Hellebore / RHS Gardening
