Bake Sale After School - Friday 19th December
You are invited to support ex-pupil, Henry Hughes, who will be holding a bake sale just outside the Infant Gate after school this afternoon - Friday 19 December. Henry is fundraising towards an expedition to Mount Toubkal in Morocco, the highest mountain in North Africa, taking place in October 2026. He and his friend need to raise £1,000 each and this bake sale will help them get a little closer to their goal. Please bring cash and support him if you can - the cakes look delicious!
KS2 Carol Concert
We were incredibly proud of our Key Stage 2 children at the Carol Concert held this Wednesday. The pupils truly did us all proud and showcased the confidence, teamwork and joy that make occasions like this so special.
Year 6 delivered a fantastic performance of The Good, The Bad and The Donkey, bringing humour, energy and confidence to the stage. The rest of KS2 supported them beautifully with wonderful singing, creating a real sense of togetherness and festive spirit. A special mention must also go to the adult choir, who sounded brilliant and added an extra layer of warmth and celebration to the event.
Thank you to all the staff who worked hard behind the scenes to make the concert such a success and to the parents and carers who attended and supported the children. It was a truly lovely way to come together as a school community and celebrate Christmas.
Year 6 Choir Spreads Christmas Cheer
Yesterday, our Year 6 choir had the wonderful opportunity to visit Oakwood and Beechwood Retirement Homes, where they performed a selection of Christmas songs for the residents. The children sang with huge enthusiasm and confidence, representing the school beautifully and making us all incredibly proud.
The visit also included shared carol singing with the residents, who were absolutely thrilled to welcome the choir. It was a joyful and memorable experience for everyone involved and a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our links with the local community while spreading some festive cheer.
A very special thank you must go to the wonderful Mrs. Vale, who not only organised this event but has also given up a huge amount of time over the last month to coordinate and support the many Christmas musical performances across the school. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, energy and commitment - we'd be lost without her!
Well done to our Y6 choir - you were a credit to the school.
Nursery Christmas Party
Popcats came to entertain our preschool children yesterday for their Christmas party and what a treat it was! The children enjoyed lots of singing, dancing and bubble action — a truly magical experience for everyone.
What a wonderful way to end an incredible first term. The Cygnet and Swan team would love to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a restful break. We look forward to taking the new year and new term by Rudolph’s antlers.
Celebrating International Gymnastics Success
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two wonderful Bexton pupils, who recently represented Gymfinity at an international gymnastics competition in Germany.
Competing against athletes from across the world, both girls performed brilliantly, winning and medalling in a range of categories. Their success is a true reflection of the huge commitment, resilience and positivity they have shown through countless hours of training and preparation.
To compete and succeed, at such a high level on the international stage is an incredible accomplishment. They represented themselves amazingly and should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.
Well done from us all – we are so proud of you both!
Year 5 Mexican and Ancient Mayan Day
Year 5 enjoyed a fabulous Mexican-Mayan themed day. The children became chefs, making their own fajitas, preparing guacamole and salsa. Then, they designed and created their own Mayan masks. A day full of laughter, teamwork and hands-on-learning. A huge thank you to all of the parents for their contributions.
