WELCOME TO YEAR 5 2025-26

Please find below the digital copies of the Information Leaflets that were handed out on Bump Up Day last term.

Homework

This year, Year 5 homework will alternate each week betweek grammar and mathematics. The children will be set a grammar task in their CPG Targeted Question Book. Mathematics will be set in the White Rose 'Maths Practice Journal'. The tasks will give the children the opportunity to reinforce, consolidate and practise what they have been learning about that week in class.

We also ask that the children complete six games on SpellingShed and log at least 6 minutes on Times Table Rock Stars.

This week, the homework will be given out on Thursday 9th October. It is grammar and the tasks are on adjectives and noun phrases. The children are to complete page 8 (adjectives) and page 20 (noun phrases) in their question book. We ask that the books are returned by Tuesday 14th October, so we can mark it together.
