Cold Weather Reminder: School Ice Procedures
As the colder weather is now here, we would like to remind families of our ice procedures to help keep everyone safe on site.
If icy conditions are present, we will email all parents before school to confirm that our ice procedures are in place for that day.
When procedures are active, the junior playground will be closed on arrival. To ensure a safe and smooth drop-off, please follow the steps below:
Do not cross the junior playground.
Use only the gritted routes shown on the map below.
If you have children in more than one year group, drop off your eldest child first at their allocated entrance.
Staff will be available to guide and support children safely through the building to their classrooms.
We ask all families to take extra care on site and to follow staff directions during icy weather.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our school community safe.

Christmas Lights Extravaganza - Wednesday 3rd December 2025 @ 5–7pm
We Need Your Help!
We are still short on volunteers for this fantastic event and would really love as many people as possible to offer some of their time. The event can only run with the support of our wonderful parent community.
Please add your name to the emailed volunteer sign-up sheet, which was sent out this week and also found here: https://volunteersignup.org/BJKCK
All volunteers will receive a Golden Ticket (voucher) to spend at one of the stalls during the event as a thank-you for your help.
Non-Uniform Day – Friday 28th November
Next Friday will be a non-uniform day. In exchange, we kindly ask children to bring in either a donated bottle or some chocolates to support our fundraising stalls. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you at this year’s Christmas Lights Extravaganza!
Team Talk - The Team Trail
This week, pupils explored the Team Trail and what it means to be part of a team at Bexton. We talked about how our 'Team Culture' at Bexton promotes that 'we are a team, not spectators' — everyone has a part to play and every voice matters. Younger children took part in teamwork games and noticed what helped them succeed, while older pupils explored different team roles — like leader, encourager and organiser — and reflected on the role they naturally take in class.
💡 At home, you could chat about times when you’ve worked in a team — at school, work or in the family — and what helped it go well.
Our Wonderful Choir – A Huge Well Done!
We are incredibly proud of our amazing Year 4, 5 and 6 choir, who performed brilliantly at the Knutsford Lights Switch On last Saturday. The children sang beautifully, represented our school so confidently and showed real teamwork and enthusiasm throughout. They did such a fantastic job and we could not be prouder of them.
A very special thank you to Mrs Vale for her hard work, encouragement and support in preparing the children so well.
Friday Pick-Ups
We kindly ask families to avoid collecting children early on Friday afternoons wherever possible. Early pick-ups create disruption for the office team and can interrupt valuable learning time for the whole class.
We completely understand that occasional unavoidable appointments may arise and we will always support when this is the case. However, keeping children in school until the end of the day helps ensure a smooth and settled finish to the week for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
School Library Bus Visit
On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome the School Library Book Service to our school. The nursery children, along with the children from the Rainbow Room, had the wonderful opportunity to visit the mobile library, swap their books, and choose exciting new ones to take back to class.
It was a really fun experience, and the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the wide range of stories available. Visits like this help us continue to encourage a love of reading from an early age, supporting children to discover new interests and develop their imaginations through books.
Santa's Grotto
Knutsford Methodist Church will be hosting a Santa's Grotto on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November running alongside their festive Christmas Market. Please see attached more information, including a QR code to easily purchase tickets to see Santa!
