😊 Bump Up Day – A Wonderful Day of New Beginnings!

We had such a fantastic Bump Up Day yesterday, with the children spending time in their new classrooms, getting to know their new teachers and classmates. The school was filled with smiles, excitement and a real buzz of positivity as the children began building relationships that will help them thrive next year.

These transition days are such an important part of helping children feel confident and prepared for the year ahead, and we were so proud of how well they all embraced the experience.

As always, a great deal of thought goes into class groupings to ensure every child is well supported socially, emotionally and academically. Our team works hard behind the scenes to create balanced and nurturing learning environments for all.

We’re excited about the year ahead and look forward to working closely with you to support your children on the next step in their journey at Bexton.

👋 Welcome to Our New Team Members!

We’re delighted to welcome some new members of staff to the Bexton team for the next academic year:

  • Mrs Leach, who will be teaching in Year 1

  • Miss Whiteley, who will be teaching in Year 4

  • Mrs McGrorey, who will be teaching in the Rainbow Room and will also be our new SENDCO, with a focus on supporting pupils with EHCPs. She will be working closely alongside Mrs Kilshaw, who will be supporting children with SEND Support Plans.

Each of our new colleagues brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion for education, and we are confident they will be a fantastic addition to our wonderful team.

We’re very excited for the year ahead and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our school community.

🎉 Red Envelope Week – Thank You!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Red Envelope Week – we’ve been blown away by your generosity!

Every donation, big or small, helps bring us closer to our goal of resurfacing the astroturf and providing the children with a vibrant space to play and learn.

We’ll be counting up the envelopes soon and will announce the winning class next week – they’ll be enjoying an exciting campfire experience with Mrs Armstrong and Mr Marchington!

Thank you once again for your amazing support!

Extra curricular clubs have now finished

The Autumn 1 Clubs timetable will be emailed on Tuesday 2nd September and Bexton Clubs will be made available for booking on Wednesday 3rd September at 12pm. Clubs will begin week commencing Monday 8th September.

Lost Property

We have a large collection of unnamed lost property that includes not just uniform but also hats, over-trousers and other garments. We will be laying them out on tables next week for you to look through. Please help yourself to any of the clothing items. If you would like to make a donation, we’d be incredibly grateful—every bit will go towards the renovation of our AstroTurf. Thank you for your support!

Cheshire Fire Rescue Safety- Stay Safe This Summer

Whether you’re staying at home or going on holiday this summer, make sure you are being safe in and around the water.

What to do if you see someone in trouble

Shout – "Are you in trouble? Can you swim towards me, or stand up?"

Reach – find a long object that you can let go of, to try and reach the person. Lie down or crouch so you aren’t pulled in too.

Throw – throw something to help keep them afloat - throwlines (floating lines), footballs, and life rings are great options.

Don’t go – Never go into the water yourself; keep eyes on them and call 999 immediately.

If you’re in trouble, Float to Live - lie on your back, keeping your mouth above the surface, and try to gently move to safety. Stay calm.

Have a very happy, and safe, summer!

Year 1 trip to Ainsdale Beach

Year 1 had a fantastic time at Ainsdale Beach in Southport on Monday! We explored the sand dunes in the sunshine and tried to spot all of the physical features of the beach. We then had a lovely picnic lunch with our friends, followed by an insightful talk with the R.N.L.I. lifeguards and finished off the day building sandcastles. What a wonderful way to celebrate a great year!
