We just wanted to let you know that the FOBS Disco has been moved to Friday 11th July due to a date clash. We're sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and hope the new date works for everyone.
More details will be coming your way a little nearer the time – we can't wait for another fun-filled evening!

Restless Development Schools Triathlon
We are incredibly proud that 49 of our Year 3–6 children have signed up to take part in the Restless Development Schools Triathlon in Cheadle Hulme on Sunday 29th June. This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to challenge themselves, work as a team, and represent Bexton with pride. If you're spectating on the day, please look out for our children and give them a big cheer!
We’ve seen some brilliantly creative team names from the children, and we’d like to wish the very best of luck to the following teams:
Trison Fury, Worth a Tri, Beast Mode Boys, The Big Donkeys, Sigma Speedsters, Deltas, Bexton Boys, Unicorn Poonacorn Magical Terrific Steve, The Golden Nuggets, Bend It Like Bexton, Outrageous Olives, Mechanical Monkeys, and Blue Sprout Boys – go team Bexton!
All participating children should have received their free t-shirt from their class teacher this week. If anyone is missing a t-shirt or needs a different size, there will be plenty of spares available at the Restless Development stall on the day. For any further questions, please contact the organisers directly at schoolstriathlon@restlessdevelopment.org.
Well done to all involved – we can’t wait to hear all about it.
Individual and Group Musical Instrument Lessons
If you are interested in your child learning a musical instrument from September, bookings are now open with Music for Life, who deliver individual and small group tuition at Bexton. To find out more and to book a new course of lessons, please visit www.musicforlife.org.uk/apply-now.
Year 5 in London
Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to London, spotting landmarks on the London Eye and exploring the sculptures and artefacts of the Egyptian galleries at the British Museum. Day two started with a cruise on the River Thames investigating OS maps of the local area and looking at the changes in the landscape and settlement over time. We were also lucky enough to spot many different species of wildlife whilst on board. The trip concluded with a sightseeing tour of London and a delicious meal at Pizza Express. What an adventure!

Girls and Ladies Football
Egerton are pleased to invite girls to take part in football taster sessions taking place throughout the month. It’s a great way to try something new, build confidence, and have fun. And mums, you’re welcome too! Get involved with our Ladies Walking Football or even our Women’s 1st XI team. Everyone’s welcome, no experience needed!

Eco News
With warm summer nights and open windows, can you hear the evening birdsong?
If you're not sure who's singing, visit RSPB for 15 common bird calls.
It takes a bit of practice—but I think I can hear a blackbird or two as I type!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday Flora, thank you, for your amazing book!
