Enterprise is Coming to Bexton!
Next Tuesday and Wednesday, our Year 6 children will host one of the highlights of the Bexton calendar – Enterprise!
Over the past few weeks, the children have been working in teams to create their own small businesses, developing products, games and activities that they will sell to the rest of the school. Along the way, they have been learning about teamwork, budgeting, marketing, creativity and communication, while putting many of the skills from The Pathway into action.
For the rest of the school, Enterprise is two exciting days filled with stalls, games and treats, all designed and run by Year 6. There will be plenty to enjoy, including chances to win prizes, buy goodies and even have nails painted, hair sprayed, tattoos applied or faces painted.
We recommend that children bring no more than £5 each day and, if possible, bring this in a named purse, wallet or small bag. Coins are especially helpful as they give children the opportunity to practise handling money and make it easier for Year 6 to give change.
If you would like to support Enterprise, we are also collecting donations of teddies, small toys, small board games and jigsaws for one of the stalls. Please send any donations into school with your child and they will be passed on to the Year 6 classrooms.
If you do not wish your child to have their nails painted, hair sprayed, a tattoo or face paint, please let your child's class teacher know by writing a note in their diary.
Our children are already counting down the days and we know Enterprise will once again be a fantastic celebration of creativity, teamwork and fun for the whole school!
Parent Survey Reminder
A reminder that our Parent Survey, run through Edurio on behalf of Cheshire Academies Trust, is still open. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us celebrate what is working well at Bexton while identifying any areas where we can continue to improve.
The survey is anonymous, takes around 10–15 minutes to complete, and should be completed in one sitting please. If you have more than one child at Bexton, please complete a separate survey for each child.
Please complete the survey here: https://edurio.com/poll/Y3jcSt1GBvMiJmFslCltJnyTyFz
The survey closes on Friday 26th June. We are keen to hear from as many families as possible and greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your views.

Year 4 Cheshire Show
Year 4 had a fantastic day at the Cheshire Show, enjoying beautiful weather and a wide range of exciting activities. The children loved seeing the many animals on display, with highlights including stroking calves and holding chickens.
There was plenty of fun to be had as the children took part in games and activities, with many winning free prizes such as pens and sweets. They were also treated to some spectacular entertainment in the main ring, where they watched incredible horse-riding displays and thrilling BMX cycling performances.
The children were a credit to Bexton throughout the day, demonstrating excellent behaviour and enthusiasm. We are incredibly proud of them all and can confidently say it was a brilliant day enjoyed by everyone!

Eco News
Japanese football fans are well known for staying behind after matches to help clean the stadium. This impressive act of respect is not limited to World Cup tournaments; supporters often tidy up after any event they attend, even when Japan is not playing. Experts in Japanese culture link this behaviour to the proverb "tatsu tori ato wo nigosazu", which means, "When you leave a place, leave it as you found it." This tradition reflects the importance of responsibility, respect and community spirit, values that inspire Japanese fans to leave stadiums clean and tidy for others to enjoy.
