Remembrance Day
BBC Children in Need
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Fulton for kindly performing The Last Post during our Remembrance two-minute silence on Tuesday 11th. His live performance added great depth and emotion to the occasion, making it a truly special and meaningful moment for everyone present.
What a fantastic day we’ve had raising awareness for Children in Need - a charity close to our hearts. The children have been learning a Strictly Come Dancing themed routine all week and had the chance to perform it this morning (yes, all the children in the hall!). It was great fun, great exercise and all for a great cause.
Thank you in advance for your donations. If you would like to contribute, please do so via the official BBC Children in Need donation page:

Anti-bullying Week
This week was also Anti-bullying Week. The children enjoyed an interactive assembly surrounding the theme ' the Power of Good’, which included discussion of ways we can prevent, stop and report bullying. Miss Wrench shared the story ‘Have you filled a bucket today?' and the children have been making an extra effort to make kind gestures all week. Each class have completed anti-bullying themed activities in their Jigsaw lessons - celebrating our differences!

Bexton PE Update: Growing as Young Athletes
This term has been an incredible journey for our children as they continue along the Bexton 5 Trails, showing determination, enthusiasm and a real love of being active.
In PE, we’ve seen fantastic progress across the school. Children are now running 400 metres in under 1 minute 30, sprinting 60 metres in under 8 seconds, and pushing themselves to improve their fitness. Most importantly, our pupils are showing increased confidence, resilience and positivity - qualities that shine just as brightly as their athletic achievements.
Our passion for sport has also been reflected in our extracurricular activities and competitions:
• Year 6 girls’ netball team: 2 wins out of 3 league games
• Cross-country event: over 60 Bexton runners taking part and finishing 3rd place overall
• Year 5 & 6 girls’ football team: an impressive 2nd place in their tournament
We are incredibly proud of how our children represent Bexton - showing effort, teamwork, aspiration, resilience and respect at every opportunity.
With many more fixtures, festivals and sporting events ahead, we look forward to watching their confidence grow and their love for physical activity continue to flourish.
At Bexton, sport is a powerful vehicle for developing the whole child and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!

Congratulations!
Cheshire East launched an exciting new eco-competition in September. Pupils were invited to design their own robot from recycled materials as a friend for Whizzy (see poster). Not only could they reuse materials to create a robot, but they also had the option to write a short story about a local environmental issue or to draw or paint a picture instead.
We are delighted to announce that one of our pupils Tamara has won the competition! Her creative entry impressed the judges, earning her a fantastic Playmobil City Life toy set and a beautiful book. We are incredibly proud of her achievement, well done!

As autumn evenings grow longer and the air turns colder, many of our wildlife species begin to adapt their routines. With food becoming scarce and temperatures falling, they rely on a little extra support to make it through the winter. Click HERE for ways you can help wildlife.
