School Uniform

School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school and setting an appropriate tone. It instils pride, supports positive behaviour and protects children from social pressures to dress in a particular way. Above all, we believe that appropriate school uniform supports effective teaching and learning. This policy has been developed by staff, in conjunction with the School Council.

In order to maintain a strong sense of identity, children are required to wear school uniform at all times. The required uniform consists of:

Girls/Boys uniform

Grey skirt/grey trousers

White shirt

School tie*

Black shoes

Blue and white checked dress (summer)

P.E. Kit

Royal blue shorts*

School polo shirt*

Black pumps

Navy Joggers and sweatshirt* for outside games

Trainers for outside games

All clothes, shoes, wellies, bags and lunch boxes must be named. P.E. clothes should be kept in a small drawstring bag. Please do not send your child to school with a large sports type bag as space in the cloakrooms is at a premium.

Drawstring bags/book bags may be purchased from school.

Some children wear a Bexton branded fleece in the winter months but this is not part of the required uniform. Non-branded blue fleeces are acceptable. *These items are available direct from ClassworX School Uniform Suppliers

We have a selection of second hand branded uniform available for free if needed. Please contact our office for more information.
