Anti-Bullying Week: "Power for Good" (10th - 14th November)
We’ll be joining schools across the country in supporting Anti-Bullying Week. To kick things off, we’ll be holding an ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Monday 10th November to celebrate difference and individuality. Miss Wrench will be leading a special Anti-Bullying themed assembly to mark the occasion.
We encourage all children to come to school wearing odd socks on Monday 10th to show their support for this important message please.
Children in Need - Friday 14th November
Next Friday (14th November), we’ll be taking part in Children in Need, which raises vital funds to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. This year, our pupils will be taking on a special ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ challenge – learning a dance routine to perform together during Friday’s assembly!
To celebrate, children are invited to come to school in their disco outfits for the day (if your child has PE on that day please ensure they are wearing suitably active wear).
If you would like to make a donation, please do so via the official BBC Children in Need donation page:

Year 3 Stone Age Day
Year 3 travelled back in time this week to experience life in the Stone Age! The children arrived dressed as Stone Age people and spent the day exploring what life might have been like thousands of years ago.
They discovered how people softened leather by mixing “poo and wee” - though ours was a little less smelly, made from salt dough, cocoa and apple juice! The children also composed their own Stone Age music using graphic notation and performed their pieces to the rest of the class.
They created beautiful clay pots inspired by the Beaker people during the day and also designed their own cave paintings on tea-stained paper using charcoal.
It was a fantastic, hands-on way to bring history to life and help the children understand what life was really like in the Stone Age!
Flu Vaccination
Children will be receiving their flu vaccinations on Wednesday 12th November. Please ensure you have completed the consent form if you have not already done so — the consent form will close on Sunday 9th November.

Eco News
Hedgehogs hibernate from October to April, sleeping in cosy nests tucked away in sheltered spots such as piles of leaves or compost heaps. You can help them by building a hedgehog house in your garden using logs, leaves, or other natural materials.
